5 Reasons why a puppy isn't the best gift for your girlfriend - what if she is a cat person instead?

 There you are standing in front of the petstore with all those cute puppies just begging you to take them home with you. You are gift hunting anyway right? So why not a puppy for your girlfriend?

I can give you 5  reasons why a puppy might not be a great gift for your girlfriend... Starting with the best reason of all. What happens if she hates dogs and loves cats? But if she is a dog person.. well a puppy might not be the best gift for her.. check out the reasons I listed.

I know I am cute. But as a gift?

 Well for starters do you know what it takes to take care of one cute puppy? Here is a helpful list of things you need to know, if a puppy is on your list for gift-giving and don't forget you will need Dog Training Books.

Here is a list of what it takes to take care of one single puppy...
1 ~ A place to be. Does your girlfriend have a backyard or does she live in an apartment? Does her apartment allow pets?
2~ Cost to feed that puppy. Is your girlfriend able to meet her bills now? Could she afford the added the cost of a puppy? Besides food, you are talking vet bills, toys etc. Would you be willing to help pay for food?
3~ Does she even like dogs? She might of got biten as a child and can't handle being around dogs. Yeah not all of us like dogs. I do, as long as they are in someone else's house and not in my yard doing their business. Or making noise at night.
4~ Does she have time for a puppy? Does she travel as part of her job? They take lots of time to train to be behave, potty train etc. If she is busy working two jobs, buying her a puppy is the wrong gift for sure.
5~ I know you never think you will break up, but if you do.. who gets the puppy? Wow that is one sad thought but you do need to think about that too.
Giving an animal as a gift has to be thought through. The reason is so many end up in shelters because they were given to people who had no clue or time to take care of them. You don't want that right?

Here are just a few reasons why a puppy might not be the best gift for your girlfriend for Christmas or any time of the year.
Well if you decided after reading that she would really love a puppy? Well don't get the puppy with getting the best food possible.. Go natural dog food if at all possible.

Now get a big box, put in dog food, bowl, collar, name of a good vet..wrap it all up... Once she opens it and looks at you like you are nuts? Bring in the second box with the puppy.. ahh isn't gift-giving fun?

Gift Ideas for Your Girlfriend

Yeah you got it, the holidays are coming up fast and I bet you have no clue what to get her. There is no holiday that can be the hardest to decide on what to buy her than Christmas. She might say its not important (bull it really is) She might say it doesn't matter its the idea that counts (again bull she wants you to spend time on picking her a gift) and she even might say "its ok you don't have to get me anything" (don't believe that!!)

 Now is the time to start thinking about what you may get her. It really doesn't have to be that hard either. Picking the best holiday gift shows just how much you really "know her" so what do you get your girlfriend?
One of the best ways to figure out what to get your girlfriend is to talk to her mom, best friend or sister. If you don't feel like that is something you can do?
Here are a  few  helpful ideas to help you start thinking about what to get her:

1~ What not start with a Kindle Fire HD ?  Well cause that was the top of my list this year. Might not be the best gift idea, unless you then fill it with ebook about love, caring and romantic books she thought she might enjoy. Not into romantic books? Then look at what she is reading now and add those type of books to her Kindle Fire. Don't forget the games too!!

2~You can't go wrong with jewelry. Take a good look at what she likes, watch her when you go out to the mall and see what catches her eye..

This is just one that we found that would be a great gift.  But be sure that its not your only gift. Give her something to say... Hang around her neck maybe?

3~ I love animals so a gift for that  always go over really well is anything with animals. Here is one that I would love to have it I was getting one ;)

There are hearts but a bunny? Who could turn down a bunny??

4~ Sweethearts LOVE YOU Heart Pendant  You be surprised what you can find that is affordable if you take the time to look. Hearts are good too..
5~ A trip to the spa.. You might not think she would love that? But believe me who doesn't love to be pampered?
